This yoga mat was influenced by the art of Ed Byrne who was a leather man in the Pacific North West during the mid nineteenth century. This is much like the design he used for a purse tooled in leather for his wife Etta. The purse was a heart felt gift of love and gratitude which is what I think of every time I paint Red Poppies. Red Poppies represents the gift of love and gratitude from one heart to another. The hand painted design will be color coordinated to compliment the mat so every yoga mat is unique.
